IMPLICATION OF FAMILY INSTABILITY ON CHILD UPBRINGING IN IBADAN SOUTH-WEST LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA, OYO STATE

The study assessed implication of family instability on child upbringing in Ibadan South West Local Government Area, Oyo State. Simple random sampling technique was used to select 60 respondents for the study. Structured questionnaire was used to collect data which were analyzed using descriptive statistical tools such as frequency distribution, percentages and mean while Chi-square was used to test the hypothesis at p≤0.05 level of significance. Results revealed that majority (56.7%) of the respondents were female, 88.3% were within ≤50years of age, majority (80.0%) of the respondents were married with 75.0% within household size category of 1-5 members.
